After 50GB of usage, including usage of tethering and mobile hotspot, C Spire may slow speeds to a maximum of 3G speeds. Plan available for phones only and includes unlimited talk, text, and data. $70/mo. with Device Payment Plan (DPP) or out of contract; $30 for lines 2-10 after application of bill discount. Line discounts applied in order of activation and may not be modified. Tethering/mobile hotspot usage not included; Mobile Hotspot feature may be added for $20/mo./line subject to reduced speeds after plan data is consumed. Optional speed passes available for purchase. To keep Unlimited plan, upgrades must be purchased on DPP or at full retail price. Unused data will not roll to the next month. Bill credit is not transferable and not redeemable for cash in hand. What is the difference between the Unlimited Talk Text and Data plan and the Simple Unlimited plan?
While both plans offer unlimited data, the Simple Unlimited plan lets you continue to add lines at a very low discounted cost of just $30 for each additional line after the first line. This means, the more you add, the more you save!
What is the difference between this unlimited plan and your other unlimited plans I may have seen or had in the past?
Our best unlimited plans just keep getting better! It provides the benefit of never having to worry about overages. Plus, you get discounts when you add more phones to this plan.

I have a two-year contract. Why can i not switch to Simple Unlimited?
The Simple Unlimited plan is only compatible with lines not under a promotional offer contract (2-year contract or POC).

Customers eligible for this plan are:
  • Participating in a Device Payment Plan (DPP)
  • Own their device outright (no contract)

Once on this plan, all future upgrades must be purchased:
  • With a DPP
  • At full retail price

To become eligible for this plan, you must:
  • Complete the full two years of the 2-year contract
  • Pay off the remaining balance of the 2-year contract

I am on the Simple Unlimited plan. Why can't I buy a new phone with a 2-year contract?
The wireless industry has moved away from two-year contracts to lower overall rate plan pricing by removing device costs that were traditionally included in plan pricing. By moving to Device Payment Plan (DPP), you can pay less based on the device you purchase, and can upgrade early with trade-in of your device, giving you more flexibility.
Can I use my phone's hotspot with this plan?
Yes, but you must first add the Mobile Hotspot Feature for $20/mo./line.

Speeds may be slowed:
  • After 50GB of total data usage
  • For both your smartphone and tethered device
  • Until the end of your current billing cycle

There are a few rules surrounding tethering:
  • Majority usage must be on your smartphone
  • Ability to tether may be canceled or restricted if usage is considered:
    • Excessively roaming
    • Harmful to the C Spire Network
    • Harmful to other users

If the ability to use your phone's mobile hotspot feature is critical to your plan needs, C Spire offers other plans that may better fulfill your need.
Will my speeds ever be slowed down, or will I be charged overages?
We never charge overage fees on this plan, but if you exceed 50GB of data on your line during the month, you may experience reduced network speeds until the end of your billing cycle. What speeds should I expect after exceeding 50GB in a month?
Specific network speeds can vary depending on location, devices, and network capability, but you may be restricted to 3G data speeds until the end of your bill cycle. Learn more about how to purchase a High-Speed Data Pass here.
What is the High-Speed Data Pass?
High-Speed Data Passes (2GB for $10 or 5GB for $20) are available for purchase once you exceed 50GB of data on your line in a single month if you want to ensure you are experiencing the fastest available data speeds. They can be purchased from your device at datapass.cspire.com. After buying a Speed Pass, you'll receive network data at the fastest available speeds. If you use all of the Speed Pass, you'll be slowed to 3G data speeds until your next bill cycle regardless of the date purchased unless you choose to purchase another high-speed data pass. If I don't use all of the Speed Pass, can I keep it for next month?
No, when you reach the end of your bill cycle or prepaid period, as applicable, your usage will reset to zero automatically. This will give you another 50GB of usage before a Speed Pass may be required.
Can I buy more than one Speed Pass?
Yes. Once the current Speed Pass has been consumed, you can purchase another if desired. Learn more about how to purchase this pass here.
I thought my plan was unlimited. Why are my speeds being reduced?
C Spire unlimited plans are subject to reduced data speeds after 50GB of data use. After 50GB of usage your line, you may experience reduced data speeds, but you will still be able to access data. This is to ensure the best network experience for all customers on our network. Speed passes will be made available for purchase from your device at datapass.cspire.com once 50GB of data has been consumed.
I have been using more than 50GB per month for almost a year now. Why are my speeds just now being reduced?
As data consumption has continued to increase, so has the need for C Spire to protect our network. Extremely high data users can have a disproportionate impact on other customers. As it stands now, usually less than 8% of our customers use over 50GB each month.
How is video quality with this plan?
Streaming video can result in high data usage, which could cause you to use more than 50GB of data during a month very quickly. To help you efficiently use your data without any noticeable difference in quality, videos typically stream around 480p, or about DVD-quality.
